Featuring AC and DC power, the lathe turns work pieces at speeds from zero to 3,975 rpm. Using drastically slower turning speeds for your work piece, you can let the router do the work. You can literally watch the piece being cut – thereby greatly reducing your chance of spoilage.
In addition, we’ve included a revolutionary torque compensating device that helps avoid burning and spoilage by stopping or slowing the turning until the bit has cleared out the wood – and then returns to the turning speeds.
When you are ready for high speed applications, simply convert from DC to AC power, and you have full use of the lathe’s high speed capabilities.
